About Our
Principal Investigators

Dr. Hythem Shadid

is a Chicago-based orthopedic surgeon and researcher with extensive musculoskeletal clinical research experience. He previously served as the longtime orthopedic resource for the US National Soccer teams (men & women). Dr. Shadid is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America and of the American Medical Association. His recent research has focused on osteoarthritis of the knee and shoulder. Learn more about his background and CV here.
